St.Peter’s school at Nileshwar under the Kannur Diocesan Educational Trust was established in1994. As Nilakandeshwaram(Nilleswar) is the cultural capital of Kasaragod District, St.Peter’s School stands to add glory to its ancient tradition. In the growing scientific and technological hunger of modern generation an inspiration came to Rev. Fr.George Sebastian a visionary and missionary to start an English Medium High School to feed the people of the locality with intellectual, moral and physical development of their children. St.Peter’s English Medium High School was started by him in 1994 with a motto ‘Higher Always’. It got affiliation from ICSE New Delhi in 2003 (KE 063/2003). The First batch appeared ICSE Public Examination (Std X) in 2004 March.
So far seven batches of students appeared for the ICSE Examination, all with 100% pass result. Our students always stand in a better position in the Entrance Examination of state as well as National level.St.Peter’s school, from a seedling in 1994 , has grown into a very large fruit bearing tree today. The students who came out of this school fruit are able to face the challenging society of the present time.
Rev. Fr. Martin Rayappan served us the Managing Director of the school from 2005 to 2009. In the year 2009 CCR(Cogregation of Carmalite Religious) sister took charge of the academic curriculam of the school and Rev,Fr,Roy Nedumthanam became the third Managing Director. In the year 2010 january 23rd the school formed SPAARK (St.Peter’s Alumini Association for Re- Union of the Kith & kin) for the former students. The school endeavours to provide quality education in keeping with the national aspirations. The school endeavours to promote education for the integral development of the total personality of each and every student under its care. Moral instruction is an important part of the curriculum. The school being a minority institution, reserves for itself inherent and constitutionally recognized of management and administration. The school is registered and affiliated to the central Board of ICSE which is considered to be one of the beat system of education in india. The motto of the school is “Higher Always” the same is its aim as well bringing up children to greater heights. English is the medium of instruction in this school. But due attention is paid to Malayalam and Hindi. Malayalam is the second language of the school.
